Investment Practice (IMC)
IMC is an entry-level qualification into the UK investment profession. It provides an excellent foundation into the core areas of portfolio management, research analysis, front office investment activities, relationship management, and risk management.
You’ll gain an FCA-appropriate qualification for managing investments.
Learners are able to:
Able to apply statistic and financial mathematical techniques, understand micro and macro economics, analyse the characteristics and risks of equities, and understand and analyse the principles of investment management. You’ll learn how to use investment tools, and how to construct and manage investment portfolios.
Must be over 18 years at the time of application and who have previously achieved a level 3 qualification. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but as a learner you will be ideally to be working with an organisation or role where they can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.
- IELTS minimum 5.0- 6.5 overall with no fail.
- Pass 5 GCSE subjects or equivelant
Who have demonstrated some ability and possess Qualifications at Level 3, for example ‘A’ Levels or vocational awards.
This qualification is suitable for anyone working, or aspiring to work, in the administration and/or operations sector and no previous qualifications are required.
