Business Taxation (BT) (ATT CTA)
The ATT CTA Tax Pathway lets you study for both Tax qualifications at an accelerated rate. The Tax Pathway is very flexible, affording you an earlier opportunity to specialise.
Learners are able to:
Learn how to calculate the Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax payable by an individual and how these are included in an individual’s self assessment personal tax return. You’ll also understand how these liabilities are affected by an individual’s residence and domicile status. You’ll learn the legal and ethical issues relevant for individuals.
Must be over 18 years at the time of application and who have previously achieved a level 3 qualification. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but as a learner you will be ideally to be working with an organisation or role where they can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.
- IELTS minimum 5.0- 6.5 overall with no fail.
- Pass 5 GCSE subjects or equivelant
Who have demonstrated some ability and possess Qualifications at Level 3, for example ‘A’ Levels or vocational awards.
There are no entry requirements to commence the CTA qualification. However the CIOT strongly recommend those without an accounting or law qualification register for the ATT-CTA tax pathway route to qualification.
There are no formal entry requirements needed to register onto the Tax Pathway. If you are already studying ATT and have completed no more than two ATT papers, you can transfer onto Tax Pathway and pay the balance of the registration fee.
